Dukey Bear

When we met you in 2007, you melted our hearts and I knew that you were destined to be a part of our family right there and then. We gave you love, security, warmth, and a comfortable home life for the past 12.5 years. In return, you gave us unconditional love and loyalty beyond anything we could have imagined. All of us will miss you so much but we will always remember and love you and cherish all of the fantastic memories our family made together. The house feels so empty now without you here, and I know the pain and sadness will subside over the coming days and weeks. Charlie and Colby wander around your bedding areas wondering where you are, as they miss their big brother as much as us humans do, if not more. We take solace and comfort that you are no longer struggling now, and that you have a huge backyard up in doggie heaven to run around in now. The last few years were tough on you, but you were such a trooper to the very end. This is not a final goodbye, but merely a temporary one, until we all meet again. We miss you so much Duke. You will always be an integral part of our family and will never be forgotten. We will always love you our Dukey Bear.
